Handwritten on the back: " 'The Cottage' Rosemont -- Roberts Rd. This was original / farmhouse on place bought by Dr. Edwin H. Williams of / Baldwin Locomotive (?) works. Property inherited by his daughter / (Anna) Mrs. Frederick Dreer and after her death bought by / a religious institution. -- This house was torn down (in 1920's ?) / and a grey stone house built in its place for Mrs. / Dreer's adopted daughter Florence who married Herman / Hemerbuch -- Edwin & Amelia Lesborne Juliet & Tanner (sister) and then / daughter Helen Stoddard Lesborne (m. 1894 George F. Curmen 3d) lived here in the summer of 1884 (perhaps one summer earlier) . Beginning / in 1885-86. They lived here all the year EO JLT & sometimes / HSO having to walk / m.t. Rosemont Station on muddy roads. The Lesbornes left Rosemont in April 1892 when they / moved to their own house in Villanova now (1966) 341 / Spring Mill Rd."
