Original owner --James William Paul, Jr., b. 1851, d. 1908. Married Fanny Drexel, 1852-92. 3 children -- Ellen Milllsl, Mary Astor, AJD Paul. Subsequent owners -- Dr. John T. Dorrance in 1924/25, b. 1873, d. 1930, m. Ethel Malline Krodt in 1906 -- 5 children -- JT Jr., Ethel, Margaret, Charlotte, Elinor (Mrs.. A. Hill); Catholic Orphanage in 1954; and Cabrini College in 1957 to date. Plot size -- 157 1/2 acres plus 73 acres across county line; originally 232 acres in 1908. Original architect -- Horace Trumbauer in 1900-02. Additions -- Stable in 1901, Pool house in 1901, Garage in 1902, Milk house in 1902, Barn, chicken house in 1902, Cow stable in 1904, and servants garage in 1930 (now demolished).
